I. Specialty and Academic Year

There are 5 specialties of professional master degrees in our university that recruit postgraduates from all over the world whose program duration are all 2 academic years, including the longest length of study for 4 academic years, and the courses are taught in Chinese. The master program of Beijing University of Agriculture for foreign students in 2019 are as follows:

II. Eligibility for Application

1. In principle, applicants must be a citizen of a country other than the People’s Republic of China, and must be a bachelor’s degree holder under the age of 40 when applying for the masters’ programs , and must be a valid foreign passport holder. For foreign nationals who were originally Chinese citizens, we implement Wai Lai 〔2009〕No. 83 Document of the Ministry of Education.

2. With higher Chinese proficiency, Chinese language must meet HSK Level 4 and above in principle (those who have no HSK test scores, but have been tested by us and prove to have equal Chinese language level can also apply for specialty study, but they must supplement HSK test score within one year after enrollment).

III.  Application Materials

1. Application Form for Admission of Foreign Students into Beijing University of Agriculture.

2. A copy of the highest academic degree and a certificate of bachelor's degree recognized by the Chinese government (original documents must be shown at the time of registration). This year’s graduates shall provide their expected graduation certificates (original documents must be shown at the time of registration).

3. Transcripts: Transcripts of undergraduate courses (original or notarized copies in Chinese or English).

4. Personal statement (written in Chinese or English, which shall include resume, academic research results, research plan during the master's program, employment goals after graduation, etc., within 1000 words, please download and fill in the Postgraduate's Personal Statement).

5. Recommendation letters from two associate professors or above (or equivalent titles).

6. If you have passed the HSK Level 4 or above exam, you must provide a copy of HSK certificate and transcript.

7. A copy of the first page and visa pages of the applicant’s passport.

8. 6 identical photographs of passport size in white background.

9. A copy of the guarantor's valid certificate (passport or ID card).

10. The registration fee is 500 yuan.

IV. Application Method

Applicants can choose either of the following ways.

Method One: Download the Application Form for Admission of Foreign Students into Beijing University of Agriculture from the Internet and send the completed application form and application materials to the work e-mail of the International Cooperation and Exchange Office.

Method Two: Submit paper application materials. (1) Applicants can directly submit or entrust others to submit application materials to the office of the Students’ International Affairs Department of the International Cooperation and Exchange Office of BUA; (2) By mailing (see contact information for the address).

V. Application Deadline

From January 5, 2019 to May 31, 2019 (the date on the postmark shall be taken as the date of delivery or receipt).

VI. Tuition and Accommodation Fees

Tuition fee: RMB 26,000/academic year

Accommodation fee: RMB 6000/person/academic year (double room)

VII. Scholarship

In order to encourage foreign students who are excellent in characters and learning, we provide foreign students with Beijing Scholarships for Foreign Students and BUA Scholarships for Foreign Students, foreign students admitted into our university would be provided with BUA Scholarships for Foreign Students in the form of tuition waiver, except for those who have already won Beijing Scholarships for Foreign Students.
